IAPC Basic Certificate Course
in Essentials of Palliative
Care : The IAPC Basic Certificate Course
in Essentials of Palliative Care will begin this year from June. The
first batch of 2009 will begin from 1st June 2009. The examination
at various regional centres will be in last week of July or in the
first week of August.
The second batch of this year will
begin from 1st November 2009.The examination will be in the last
week of December/ first week of
January. |

Now IAPC has 25 regional centres all over India for
conducting the course. Candidates can register through any one of
these centres and can attend the contact session and examination at
the same centre. The list of regional centres is available from the
IAPC website or you can contact nio.palliative.india@gmail.com for the list and for other details. |
| The
classes will be conducted by members of the national faculty pool of
IAPC. Now there are 64 National faculty. |
| Doctors and Nurses
Can apply for the Course |
The doctors should have successfully completed MBBS/BDS. (Those who are doing internship also can apply)
Nurses should have successfully completed Bsc in Nursing/ Diploma in Nursing. (Those who are doing internship also can apply) |

The course is a distance education course with duration of eight weeks. There is an optional second part, where the candidates who have successfully completed the certificate course can choose clinical placement for TEN days in a nearby palliative care unit The Course fee: Rs. 1000/- |
