This workshop was conducted on Sunday, July 21, 2019.
Palliative care is a relatively new field in India and hence holds the potential for active research to generate knowledge based on local settings and environment. With this background, a research workshop was conceptualized to orient palliative care health professionals on various aspects of research in palliative care and promote them to conduct standardised trials or studies in local settings.
This workshop included professional from various pools of healthcare including doctors, nurses, psychologists and social workers. The number of participants who registered for the workshop were 35, out of which 23 actually attended.
Participants were also from neighbouring states of Odisha and Assam. The faculty included:

The workshop was an interactive meet with participants benefiting from the detailed discussion on clinical research perspectives in the field of palliative medicine. Participants were also guided on the new amended guidelines issued by the Govt. of India to do ethical research and importance of doing ethical research was the core point of discussion.
