Job Description:
Medical officer is the overall incharge of the day to day functioning of the unit including medical care, nursing care, medicines, and administration. The Medical Officer will do the in-patient rounds and also go for home care between 9 am to 5 pm. The Medical Officer will also take care of out- patients on a daily basis. Medical Officer will be on call out of office hours and on Sunday, public holidays and national holidays and to attend to patients in emergencies or in the event of the death to declare death.

The Sri Sathya Sai Palliative Care Centre is a 10 Bed Palliative Care Center, with 2 homecare vans, serving the Sri Sathya Sai District in Andhra Pradesh. It currently serves over 550 patients in homecare, covering both cancer and non-cancer patients. It has an active cancer screening program. It is now in the process of setting up a cancer treatment center and a larger palliative care facility which is planned to be opened by the end of 2025.
