The initiative was themed, ‘Looking through the prism of Palliative Care’ in observance of this year’s World Hospice and Palliative Care Day.
This unique initiative leveraged a powerful medium, photography, to capture the journey and essence of palliative care over the years through the lens of our contributors. Whether it is a moment of compassion, the beauty of resilience, or the quiet strength found in the face of adversity, these profound images encapsulate the essence and the positive impact of palliative care, a vital aspect of healthcare.

Update from the August event
The August edition of ‘Singing for the Stars’ was scheduled to be held at 2:50 p.m. on Tuesday, 13th August, 2024.
The palliative care community was treated to a pleasant surprise as the Artist for the program, Mr Anirudh Kashivishvanathan (Singer, Vocal Coach, Composer, and Performing Artist) joined us with his band ‘Chutney’. To everyone’s dismay and with sincere regret, we share that the program did not proceed as planned due to sudden unforeseen technical glitches.
Team SMA Nirvana and the artists tried relentlessly to fix the issue for over 30 minutes after which the difficult decision to reschedule the program was taken. Strangely enough, two of our three guest singers were also unable to present their songs due to the same technical issue.
Team IAPC and Team SMA Nirvana take this opportunity to extend our gratitude to all those who joined us and more importantly for staying back and supporting us while we tried to fix the issue on the mentioned day.
