North Zone: World Hospice & Palliative Care Day Celebration at
Max Super Specialty Hospital Vaishali, New Delhi
The Division of Pain and Palliative Medicine at Max Super Specialty Hospital, celebrated the World Hospice and Palliative care Day by organizing an open webinar for the general community with eminent faculty striving to generate and spread awareness about ‘Care for the elderly’.
The event was graced with the presence of distinguished panelists which included Dr. N P Singh, an eminent physician and geriatrician; Dr. Roopa Rajan, Assistant Professor of Neurology at AIIMS , New Delhi; Dr. Gaurav Chanana, Senior Consultant, Pain and Palliative Medicine, Max Super Specialty Hospital, Saket; and Ms. Neha Sinha, Dementia Specialist, CEO and co-founder, Epoch Elder Care. The webinar and moderated by Dr. Megha Pruthi, Senior Consultant, Pain and Palliative Medicine, Max Super Specialty Hospital, Vaishali.
The webinar covered a range of issues pertaining to the medical, social, psychological and spiritual concerns in the elderly, along with addressing the concerns of the ‘forgotten warriors’ or the caregivers by providing them with indications on how to effectively deal with these issues, when to seek professional help and by discussing self-care for caregivers.
