Register for the Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Network’s (APHN) webinar on ‘Teaching Leaders and Adult Learners Effectively about Palliative Care: Methods, Tools and Tactics’, between 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 (IST) p.m. on Wednesday, 8th May, 2024. This is the second webinar from the APHN’s Quarterly Webinar Series.
The webinar will be presented by Dr Bee Wee CBE (Associate Professor of Palliative Care, University of Oxford, UK) and Dr Ghauri Aggarwal (Clinical Deputy Director, Cancer Services and Palliative Care, Concord Centre for Palliative Care, Sydney). The presenters share that the webinar will help participants learn the basic principles of teaching and learning, including an awareness of learning styles; the impact of formal, informal and hidden curricula; methods to evaluate and measure impact. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about the context relevant to the Asia Pacific Region and how that may impact on developing Education and Teaching Programs.

Register to participate in the Malaysian Hospice and Palliative Care Council’s (MHPCC) webinar ‘Support for Caregivers in Care for Dementia’, scheduled to be held on Thursday, 9th May, 2024, between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m (IST).
The webinar will be presented by Dr Kejal A/P Hasmukharay (Lecturer in Geriatric Medicine, Universiti Malaya) and will be facilitated by Dr Lam Chee Loong (Palliative Medicine Consultant, Universiti Malaya; Vice Chairperson, MHPCC).
The webinar aims to improve dialogue, engagement, and learning of best practices to improve patient care outcomes and promote palliative care delivery.

Submit abstracts before 20th May, 2024, to participate in the ‘Australian and New Zealand Society of Palliative Medicine 2024’ conference, Adelaide, 5th – 8th September, 2024
The organisers of the ‘Australian and New Zealand Society of Palliative Medicine (ANZSPM) 2024’ conference, are inviting abstracts before Monday, 20th May, 2024. The four-day conference is scheduled to be held at Adelaide, South Australia, between Thursday, 5th September, 2024, and Sunday, 8th September, 2024.
The in-person conference is themed ‘30 Years of Palliative Medicine: Constructing, Challenging, Transforming’ in recognition of the 30th anniversary of the ANZSPM’s first meeting. Conference organisers aim to bring together the shared desire to provide high-quality, compassionate, person and family centred care for those approaching end of their lives in a changing environment, while also reinforcing and invigorating a delegate’s passion for this work.
The conference also brings together international and national plenary speakers, present workshops and invited papers and posters, a trainee day, and satellite sessions, along with fun, fellowship and learning.

Abstract submissions are open for the ‘3rd Grief and Bereavement Conference Singapore’, 6th – 8th November, 2024
Abstracts are invited for the ‘3rd Grief and Bereavement Conference Singapore’ scheduled to be held at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Singapore, between Wednesday, 6th November, 2024, and Friday, 8th November, 2024. The conference is organised by the Singapore Hospice Council, the voice of hospice and palliative care within Singapore and internationally.
The in-person conference offers delegates with an opportunity to share knowledge, nurture meaningful connections, and inspire collaboration by bringing together practitioners and lay persons, individuals and communities to chart the way ahead for a compassionate and societal response to grief and bereavement.
The three-day conference is themed ‘Embracing Diversity, Innovating Practice’, to reflect the conference organiser’s continuous aspirations to build an inclusive community and culture that honours the voice of grief and also enhances the practices in shaping effective support, creating a more bereaved-friendly and grief-informed society.
