Nurses working in palliative care from across the globe are invited to register to the free webinar, ‘A Celebration of Nursing Around the World: Sustaining progress against the odds’, between 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. (IST) on Thursday, 11th May, 2023.

The half day virtual event will present participants to hear about innovative nursing approaches that improve the experience of dying and grief despite significant challenges, encourage their efforts to advance end of life care through nursing activity or related support, to help shape and become a part of the global palliative nursing network and the opportunity to help shape and become part of it and learn about the opportunities to advance their practice and confidence via St Christopher’s CARE moving forward.

The webinar is jointly presented by St Christopher’s CARE and International Children’s Palliative Care Network (ICPCN).

The conference organisers share that the 3-day conference is being designed around the concept of ‘Palliative care as a human right (Plague Charter)’. They go on to share that the first day of the conference aims to focus on Palliative Oncology, while the second day will focus on Psycho-oncology or the Humanities, and that the final day will focus on Technology Enabled Care in Palliative Care, and Euthanesia.

Submit abstracts before 14th April, 2023, for the 15th Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Conference 2023, 4th – 7th October, 2023

The last date for submitting abstracts to the 15th Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Conference 2023, has been extended to Friday, 14th April, 2023.

The biennial conference is hosted by the Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Network and the Korean Society of Hospice and Palliative Care and will be held at Songdo Convensia, Incheon, Korea, between Wednesday, 4th October, 2023, and Saturday, 7th October, 2023.

The in-person conference presented in English, is themed Expanding Horizons of Palliative Care in the New Erato reflect the readiness to share knowledges, expertise, tips, pandemic experiences, and delaying sympathy of loss in each and every session, post a long covid break which deterred organising in-person conferences. Conference delegates can look forward to interesting plenary sessions, an exciting symposium and workshop sessions, all of which aim to showcase the increasing reach of palliative care, in both the Asia Pacific region as well globally.

The Lien Collaborative Bursary Awards have also been announced, which aims to support individuals who are past or current Lien Collaborative faculty members or participants to attend the upcoming conference. Registrations are invited for the in-person Oceanic Palliative Care Conference 2023, at the International Convention Center, Sydney, scheduled to be held from Wednesday, 13th September, 2023, to Friday, 15th September, 2023.

The conference organisers, Palliative Care Australia, shares that the three day conference will be action oriented as it will provide conference delegates with an opportunity to engage in invigorating conversations, appreciate dynamic learning and establish valuable networking.
