EPEC Paediatrics Conference 2026, Hong Kong

The EPEC Paediatrics Conference will be held in Hong Kong from 26th to 28th April, 2026, bringing together paediatric palliative care professionals from across the region for advanced learning and capacity building. The programme includes a two-day Train the Trainer course on 26th and 27th April, followed by a one-day Professional Development Workshop on 28th April, hosted at the Regal Riverside Hotel.

Designed for physicians and other healthcare professionals, the conference focuses on advanced pain and symptom management, core paediatric palliative care competencies, and strengthening teaching and leadership skills. Participants will benefit from interactive plenaries, small group sessions, online learning modules, and access to EPEC Paediatrics teaching resources.

EAPC Free Webinar | Creating an Effective Conference Poster

The European Association for Palliative Care is hosting a free webinar on 16th February 2026 from 07:30 PM IST, focused on developing clear and effective conference posters. This practical session will be especially useful for early career researchers and clinicians preparing posters for scientific meetings.

The webinar will feature presentations by Yakubu Salifu from Lancaster University and Katherine Oliver from the University of Sheffield, with Giacomo Massa from Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori serving as chair. Organised by the EAPC Research Network Junior Forum, the session will share practical tips, common pitfalls, and strategies to communicate research effectively through posters.

Cynthia Goh Distinguished Lectureship 2026

The Cynthia Goh Distinguished Lectureship 2026 will take place on Friday 13th  February 2026 at 10 AM (IST) as a Zoom webinar. This year’s distinguished lecture will be delivered by Dr Rosalie Shaw, a pioneering leader in palliative care with decades of clinical service, education, and health system development experience across Australia, Singapore, and the Asia Pacific region.

Dr Shaw will reflect on the evolving practice of palliative care drawing on her work in establishing services, mentoring clinicians, and supporting national and regional capacity building. The programme includes an opening address, the Cynthia Goh Distinguished Lecture, and a panel discussion, offering participants an opportunity to engage with key themes shaping palliative care today.

The event is organised by the Cynthia Goh Palliative Care Institute in collaboration with SingHealth and Duke NUS and is open to clinicians’ educators and others with an interest in palliative care. Click here to register.


Bearing the Pain of the Other: A Call to Compassion in Care

In observance of the 34th World Day of the Sick an international online dialogue will reflect on the theme selected by His Holiness Pope Leo XIV focusing on compassion presence and accompaniment in care. This two-part programme brings together voices from different faith traditions regions and professional backgrounds to explore how caregivers can bear witness to suffering with dignity solidarity and hope. The session is jointly organised with global partners committed to compassionate care and palliative care advocacy.

Palliative Care: Rethinking Coping, Exploring Hope, in the Midst of Conflict and Change
