West Zone: World Hospice & Palliative Care Day Celebration at
Bhaktivedanta Hospital & Research Institute, Mumbai, Maharashtra
The World Hospice and Palliative Care celebrations at Bhaktivedanta Hospital & Research Institute, Mumbai, was organised by the center’s Department of palliative care services and was celebrated by being mindful of all covid protocols.
On this occasion, banners providing information about palliative care were displayed at several locations inside the hospital. These banners aimed to generate awareness about Palliative Care services among the patients, the general community and the health professionals.
Senior officials representing the hospital’s management group addressed the patients, their caregivers, the visitors and the staff via the hospital’s public address system, to sensitize them towards Palliative care and to encourage them to utilize the palliative care services that were available at the center.
We followed tradition even this year and put up the usual stall within the center, to support a patient who sold various handmade items that were made by her.
