Register for the IAPC’s upcoming virtual AGBM on Friday, 12th November, 2021!

We invite you to mark your calendars for the IAPC’s virtual Annual General Body Meeting (AGBM) scheduled to be held on Friday, 12th November, 2021, between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

A unanimous decision was taken to conduct the IAPC’s AGBM virtually during the IAPC’s virtual Central Council (CC) meeting held on Monday, 28th July, 2021.

Please note that you will have to register in advance and that registration is mandatory if you wish to participate in the AGBM or vote in the upcoming IAPC elections (second week of January, 2022).

Over the coming days, you will receive an email with a link to register for the AGBM. Efforts are also being made to connect with those members (via post and sms’s) whose currently registered email ids are dysfunctional. Once you receive the link, we request you to please click on the same and follow the necessary steps to complete your registration. Alternatively you could also register by filling in the registration form available at any one of the below three listed webpages.

Please note that you will not be able to participate in the AGBM if your email id and mobile number is not pre-registered, as the login credentials will be sent to your pre-registered email address.


Update your details in the IAPC’s National PC Directory!

We are in the process of updating the IAPC’s National Palliative Care directory and we absolutely CANNOT do that WITHOUT YOUR SUPPORT!

We request you to please check and update (existing centers) or add (for new centres) the relevant details by clicking here.

Once you click on the link, you will be taken to the Palliative Care Directory of India page.

  1. Please select the State or Union Territory from the drop down menu to check details of your centre.
  2. Then visit the Submit Palliative Centre details page by clicking on the button at the right coloumn.
  3. Choose to either update details of an existing center OR add a new center. Please fill up the form carefully with relevant details.
  4. Once completed, please click the Submit button to send us your details.

Your invaluable support towards creating an updated directory (State Wise) will ensure that no patient is left behind and help improve access to palliative care services.

So come on, do your bit to help someone in need!


Update: IAPCON 2022, Jaipur

The organizing team of IAPCON 2022, led by Dr. Anjum Joad Khan, organising secretary, IAPCON 2022, is working hard towards making sure that every delegate is enriched and can go back to deliver better patient care.

The organizing committee has shared that the conference will provide delegates with opportunities to attend a ‘Master class in Parkinsonism’, unravel the ‘Survey results of the Quality of Death 2021’, unbundle ‘Dying in a seriously ill child’ and gain insights into ‘Palliative Care in Interstitial Lung Diseases’. The conference will also further facilitate the evidence and knowledge translation by providing skill based sessions for Nurses, or by throwing light on ways of sustaining the palliative care workforce.

The virtual conference is scheduled to be held between Friday, 11th February, 2022, to Sunday, 13th February, 2022. Pre-conference workshops will be organized on 10th February, 2022.

Please note that the International Association for Hospice and Palliative Care (IAHPC) has also announced a few scholarships for IAPC members to register for the IAPCON 2022, Jaipur. Candidates currently working in palliative care, are a Member of IAPC and a Member of IAHPC are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

‘Saath Saath’ helpline launched by Consortium of Indian Palliative Care

Your Palliative Care helpline is now live! The national toll free helpline ‘1800-202-7777’ is operational from Monday to Saturday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Patients, caregivers and healthcare providers can connect to the nearest palliative care center using any of Hindi, English, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, Assamese and Marathi languages.
