Register for the Global Palliative Care and Pain Relief Research Hub Webinar Series

Join the The Global Palliative Care and Pain Relief Research Hub, spearheaded by the eminent Dr. Felicia Knaul and consisting of multidisciplinary clinicians, scientists, scholars, and advocates from Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) Cancer Center’s Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences and Supportive Care Service; the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of the University of Miami Health System; the University of Miami Institute for Advanced Study of the Americas; and the International Association for Hospice & Palliative Care, as they deliver to us a complimentary webinar series which aims to disseminate the science and scholarship of the Research Hub to the global palliative care and hospice communities. 

The webinar will address the implications for research, clinical practice, education and training, and policy and invite interdisciplinary and multi-sectoral stakeholders to participate in the series that will cover a broad range of topics related to palliative care and pain relief, with an emphasis on global health equity, universal access to palliative care, and social justice.

Sessions will be held every alternate month at 8 p.m. IST, with each session consisting of 2-3 lectures followed by interactive discussions with faculty. CME’s will be offered for each session and a certificate will be available after a post-session evaluation is complete.

Hurry and register for the 12th World Research Congress of the EAPC

Registrations are now open for the 12th World Research Congress of the European Association of Palliative Care (EAPC), scheduled to be held between Wednesday, 18th May 2022 and Friday, 20th May, 2022.

The organizers share that the World research conference will be interactive and completely online this year. The congress aims to create opportunities for registered delegates to interact with experts in palliative care, to present and discuss research, and to provide new ideas and new knowledge for improving the treatment and care of patients and their families from across the globe.

Register for the 7th International African Palliative Care Conference

The 7th International African Palliative Care Conference, of the African Palliative Care Association, is a hybrid conference scheduled to be held between Wednesday, 24th August, 2022, and Friday, 26th August 2022, in Kampala, Uganda.

The conference theme is ‘Palliative Care in a Pandemic’. The conference is also being co-hosted by Worldwide Hospice Palliative Care Alliance. 

The organizers invite Palliative care experts, researchers, health workers, carers, donors, and people living with palliative care needs to register and participate in the conference. They also share that Ministers of Health, Dignitaries and other Government technical officials from several countries are expected to attend the conference.

Register for the 7th Public Health Palliative Care International Congress

The International Association Public Health Palliative Care International (PHPCI), has themed its biennial congress, ‘Democratizing Caring, Dying and Grieving: Participation, Action, Understanding and Evaluation’.

The conference aims to bring together leading innovators, researchers, practitioners, policy makers, representatives of civic society in the public health palliative care approach by bringing together the state of the art in science and practice of public health and palliative care. The organizers share that there is a significantly growing body of evidence about public health approaches at the end of life and that the conference signals a new era for international research and practice, by creating a critical platform for sharing best-practice examples and evidence from research from around the world and across Europe.

The congress is scheduled to be held between Tuesday, 20th September, 2022 and Friday, 23rd September, 2022, at Bruges, Belgium.

Register for the EAPC’s, 18th World Congress

The theme of the Congress ‘Equity and Diversity in Palliative Care’ aims to draw attention to the utmost need and goal of creating equity of fair access, opportunity, and advancement in palliative care for all people in need of this care.

The congress is scheduled to be held between Wednesday, 15th June, 2023, and Friday, 17th June, 2023 at Netherlands.

The dates for the McGill International Congress on Palliative Care has been announced

It has been announced that the McGill International Congress on Palliative Care will be held between Tuesday, 18th October, 2022 and Friday, 21st October, 2022.

The biennial congress, organized and hosted by Palliative Care McGill and is said to be one of the longest running congresses in the field of palliative care.

The congress organisers take pride to share that over 1,500 delegates, from over 65 countries participate in the congress thereby making this as one of the most interdisciplinary palliative care congresses. Physicians, researchers, nurses, psychologists, social workers, pharmacists, music therapists, art therapists, physical therapists and volunteers from across the globe meet to learn from and with each other for the betterment of palliative care.
