The Coalition to Transform Advanced Care (C-TAC) and the Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC) invite registrations for the ‘C-TAC – CAPC Leadership Summit 2023’ scheduled to be held at Washington DC, USA, between Monday, 23rd October, 2023 and Tuesday, 24th October, 2023.

The two day, in-person conference themed, ‘Transforming care for people with serious illness’ is designed to host a uniquely immersive, multi-track experience of talks, panels, interviews, and roundtables to ensure a mix of learning, sharing, and networking.

National changemakers, leaders of health systems and community-based organizations; clinicians; administrators, family caregivers; policymakers and government experts; consumer advocates; faith and spiritual leaders; and philanthropic supporters and anyone who is passionate about improving the quality of life for people living with serious illness, and their caregivers are encouraged to register and participate in the conference.

Register for the two-part webinar on ‘Using Cochrane Evidence in Palliative Care’ on 16th and 23rd August, 2023

Registrations are invited for the free two-part webinar on ‘Using Cochrane Evidence in Palliative Care’, scheduled for Wednesday, 16th August, 2023, and Wednesday, 23rd August, 2023, between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. (IST).

The two-part webinar aims to familiarise doctors and nurses in palliative care with the Cochrane Library. The first part intends to share how one can get the best out of Cochrane Library; while the second part will aim to share how to apply Cochrane evidence to clinical cases.

Anyone who is interested in Cochrane library, evidence based medicine and systematic reviews are encouraged to register for the webinar.

The webinar is being organised jointly by Hospis Malaysia, Cochrane Library, Cochrane Malaysia, and Wiley.

Last date to submit abstracts extended to 31st August, 2023, for the ‘3rd International Research Seminar on Public Health and Palliative Care’, Belfast, Northern Ireland, 16th – 17th November, 2023

The last date to submit abstracts for the ‘3rd International Research Seminar on Public Health and Palliative Care’ scheduled to be held at Belfast, Northern Ireland, between Thursday, 16th November, 2023, and Friday, 17th November, 2023, has been extended to Thursday, 31st August, 2023.

The seminar is themed, A Human Rights based approach for Palliative care:  Towards Solutions for Public Health Palliative Care. The organisers share that the theme is highly relevant as 2023 marks 75 years since the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in Paris on the 10th December 1948.

It has been shared that those abstracts which have been accepted at the seminar will be published in the Journal Palliative Care and Social Practice. Please click here for further information related to submission of abstracts.

The in-person seminar is being organised jointly by the All Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care (AIIHPC) and the EAPC Reference Group on Public Health and Palliative Care.

Registrations open for the ‘Paediatric Palliative Care Symposium’ at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 9th – 11th September, 2023

Registrations are invited for the 3 day in-person Paediatric Palliative Care Symposium scheduled to be held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, between Saturday 9th September, 2023, and Monday, 11th September, 2023.

The symposium themed Perinatal and Neonatal Palliative Care and Narrative Medicine in Palliative Medicine and Clinical Care’ is organised jointly by the Paediatric Pain and Palliative Care Unit, University Malaya and Hospis Malaysia.

Conference organisers share that the first two days of the symposium will focus on topics related to care provision for foetuses and infants with life-limiting diagnoses and their families, along with practical sessions on shared decision making, withdrawal of life-sustaining interventions, bereavement support and pointers on setting up a perinatal service. They go on to share that the final day of the conference is designed to introduce the concepts and application of Narrative Medicine.

Healthcare providers and professionals caring for unborn children and infants with life-limiting illnesses and their families and individuals interested in the intersection of humanities, arts and medicine, are encouraged to register for the conference.

Block your dates for the IAPC Delhi Chapter’s first annual conference, 17th – 19th November, 2023

We are pleased to announce that the Department of Onco-Anaesthesia and Palliative Medicine at AIIMS, New Delhi, is working towards organising their 1st Annual Conference of the Delhi State Chapter of the IAPC.

The in-person conference is being themed Palliative Care: By All and For All and is being organised at the Jawahar Lal Nehru (JLN) Auditorium at AIIMS, New Delhi, between Friday, 17th November, 2023, and Sunday, 19th November, 2023. The Pre conference workshop has been slated for Friday, 17th November, 2023.
