The Cancer Aid Society invites Nominations for the ‘International Award for Excellence in Palliative Care, 2021-2022’. The award is Instituted by the Cancer Aid Society, an associate of United Nations Department of Global Communications, and having Special Consultative Status with United Nations Economic and Social Council and a participant of the World Health Organizations, GCM/NCD.

Please note that Awards will be announced under 3 different Categories: a) Doctors, b) 2. Nurses / other Paramedics and c) Volunteers / Other Individuals. The awards (plaques and certificates) will be sent to the winners via courier.

Participate in the Marie Curie research conference 2022

The Marie Curie research conference ‘Improving end of life for all’ will be held virtually between Sunday, 30th January, 2022 and Friday, 4th February, 2022.

The conference aims to deliver a series of interesting presentations, posters, talks in addition to showcasing a few of Marie Curie’s most recently funded research, along with other global research which focus towards improving the experiences of dying, death and bereavement.

The presentations are scheduled to be held virtually between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. (Except for the session at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday).

Apply for the recently revived IAHPC Annual Recognition Awards Program

The International Association for Hospice and Palliative Care (IAHPC) has recently announced the revival of their Annual Recognition Awards Program to promote the development of palliative care around the world.

This year, six awards will be given to individuals and institutions located in high, middle, and low income countries to acknowledge and recognize individuals and institutions that have contributed to the advancement and provision of palliative care. Each award will consist of a US $1,000 prize, a certificate, and a free one-year IAHPC membership.

Hurry and check if your institution or a colleague is eligible for this award and apply for it before 31st December, 2021.
