Register for the 2023 Annual Assembly of Hospice and Palliative Care, Montreal, Canada, 22nd – 25th March 2023

The 2023 Annual Assembly of Hospice and Palliative Care, is inviting registrations for the 3-day event which is scheduled to be held in Montreal, Canada, between, Wednesday, 22nd March, 2023, and Saturday, 25th March, 2023.

The Assembly will be presented in a hybrid format allowing for delegates to either join in-person or login virtually.

The 3 day event aims to bring together over 3,400 palliative care professionals from across the globe to share research, clinical best practices, and practice-related guidance to advance the specialty and improve patient care. The organisers share that attending the assembly will allow one to “Learn from cutting-edge scientific research which will positively impact your hospice and palliative care team to provide optimal care.”

The hybrid assembly is presented jointly by the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM) and the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA).

Participate in the EPEC Pediatrics Symposium 2023, at Manila, Philippines, 23rd – 25th March, 2023

Health care professionals providing pediatric palliative care are invited to register for the in-person, Education in Palliative and End-of-life Care (EPEC) symposium scheduled to be held at Manila, Philippines, between Thursday 23rd March, 2023, and Saturday, 25th March, 2023. The symposium is being organised jointly by the EPEC Pediatrics, the Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Network and the Ruth Foundation for Palliative and Hospice Care.

The three day symposium has been Stratified at two levels of practice (End-User and ‘Train-the-Trainer’) to cater to the needs of all types of pediatric healthcare professionals (incl. physicians, nurses, psychologists, etc.). The symposium will feature evidenced-based knowledge in pain and symptom management and state-of-the-art training in critical clinical skills required to address key domains in Pediatric Palliative Care (PPC).

The organisers share that any healthcare professional who is seeking to build a robust foundation in PPC for quality care of children with serious illness (cancer or non-cancer) and their families must participate in the symposium as topics are comprehensive and transdisciplinary and will cover issues across biomedical and psychosocial domains.

Delegates will also have opportunities to meet invited experts in PPC from across the globe in small classroom sessions with high teacher-student ratios.

Register for the ‘Translating Ethics into Humanistic Care’, a virtual ethics symposium, 27th – 29th April, 2023

Registrations are invited for a 3-day virtual ethics symposium, ‘Translating Ethics into Humanistic Care’, scheduled between 6:30 a.m. (IST) and 10 a.m. from Thursday, 27th April, 2023, and Saturday, 29th April, 2023.

The symposium is organised by the Palliative Care Center for Excellence in Research and Education in partnership with Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore.

The symposium aims to provide participants with an understanding of ethical principles and its application towards a humanistic approach to clinical practice, with a focus on palliative care and patients at the end-of-life care.
