Register for the APHN’s webinar on ‘Bereavement Care: Research and Practice’ on 7th June, 2022

The Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Network (APHN) is excited to announce that the topic for the second session of their Quarterly Webinar Series will be on ‘Bereavement Care: Research and Practice’.

The webinar will be delivered by Amy Y. M. Chow, Professor with the Department of Social Work and Social Administration, The University of Hong Kong; and Michael Dash, Coordinator of the Sydney Local Health District Palliative Care Bereavement Counselling Service.

The webinar will be a live one-hour session on Zoom with a Q&A segment at the end with the speaker, and is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, 7th June, 2022, between 12:00 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. IST.

Register for the webinar on ‘Epi-Transitions in the Global Disease Burden and the Need for Palliative Care’ on 23rd June, 2022

The next lecture as part of the Global Palliative Care and Pain Relief Research Hub Webinar Series will be on ‘Epi-Transitions in the Global Disease Burden and the Need for Palliative Care’ on Thursday, 23rd June, 2022, between 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (IST).

These complimentary webinar series are held every alternate month with each session consisting of 2-3 lectures followed by interactive discussions with faculty. CME’s will be offered for each session and a certificate will be available after a post-session evaluation is complete.

The webinar series is intended for multidisciplinary healthcare providers, palliative care specialists, students and trainees, researchers, multi-sector stakeholders and advocates invested in advancing palliative care and relief access.

The Global Palliative Care and Pain Relief Research Hub, is spearheaded by the eminent Dr. Felicia Knaul and consists of multidisciplinary clinicians, scientists, scholars, and advocates from Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) Cancer Center’s Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences and Supportive Care Service; the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of the University of Miami Health System; the University of Miami Institute for Advanced Study of the Americas; and the International Association for Hospice & Palliative Care.

Apply for the IAHPC’s Scholarship before 15th July, 2022, to virtually attend the McGill International Congress on Palliative Care, Montreal

The International Association for Hospice and Palliative Care (IAHPC) is pleased to partner with the McGill international Palliative Care Congress to offer ten scholarships to support the participation of its members in the virtual session of the congress scheduled to be held between Tuesday, 18th October, 2022, to Friday, 21st October, 2022, at Montreal, Canada.

The biennial congress, organized and hosted by Palliative Care McGill is said to be one of the longest running congresses in the field of palliative care.

The congress organisers take pride to share that over 1,500 delegates, from over 65 countries participate in the congress thereby making this as one of the most interdisciplinary palliative care congresses. Physicians, researchers, nurses, psychologists, social workers, pharmacists, music therapists, art therapists, physical therapists and volunteers from across the globe meet to learn from and with each other for the betterment of palliative care.
