Registrations are invited for the in-person 2023 South African Palliative Care Conference scheduled to be held between Wednesday, 26th April, 2023, and Saturday 29th April, 2023, at Cape Town.

The conference is organised jointly by South Africa’s three leading palliative care organisations, the Association of Palliative Care Practitioners of South Africa (PALPRAC), the Palliative Care for Children South Africa (PatchSA) and the Hospice Palliative Care Association of South Africa (HPCA).

The conference is themed, ‘Palliative Care is Everyone’s Business’ in relation to the lack of preparedness of several healthcare providers to offer appropriate and timely end-of-life care to patients and families. The overriding focus of the workshops, plenary and parallel presentations at the conference will therefore focus on the imperative for palliative care of the future to be inclusive, relevant, and sustainable.

The conference organisers share that the conference will provide delegates with immense opportunities to network, exchange ideas and research and facilitate professional advancement.
