Training Program on Palliative and Elderly Care in Arunachal Pradesh, 6th to 9th May, 2025
A Training Program on Palliative and Elderly Care is being organized at Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, between 6th and 9th May, 2025. The program is facilitated by the Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPC) and organized by the National Health Mission (NHM), Arunachal Pradesh, under the National Programme for Palliative Care (NPPC) and the National Programme for Health Care of the Elderly (NPHCE), Government of India.
The training is aimed at government doctors and nursing staff across the state public health system. It will feature sessions conducted by a distinguished panel of faculty members, including Dr. Geeta Joshi (President, IAPC), Dr. Sanghamitra Bora, Dr. Nandan Choudhury, Dr. Obangjungla, and Mr. Sachin Dwivedi, among others.
The program is coordinated by Dr Tashi Chotton (State Nodal Officer, NPPC, Government of Arunachal Pradesh) and Dr Dukam Taipodia (State Nodal Officer, National Program for Health Care of the Elderly).
SIPPC Announces SIPPCON 2 at Ramaiah Advanced Learning Center, Bengaluru, 30th – 31st May, 2025
The Society of Integrated Pain and Palliative Care (SIPPC) announces its second workshop, SIPPCON 2, scheduled to be held on 30th and 31st May 2025 at the Ramaiah Advanced Learning Center, Bengaluru, Karnataka.
The theme for this year’s workshop is “Practical Aspects of Pain and Palliative Care: Cancer Pain.”

10th SARPS Congress on Pain to be Held in New Delhi, September 2025
The South Asian Regional Pain Society (SARPS) and the Indian Society for the Study of Pain (ISSP), in collaboration with the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP), announce the 10th SARPS Congress on Pain, scheduled to be held in New Delhi. The event will take place at the Hyatt Regency Delhi, Bhikaji Cama Place, with a Pre-Conference Workshop on 25th September 2025, followed by the Main Conference between 26th and 27th September 2025.
The theme for the congress is “Patient-Centric Pain Management.”
