Registrations are invited for the CME on ‘Evidence for Integrating Palliative Oncology in Advance Cancer Setting’ organized by the Aster Hospitals, Bengaluru, and Aster International Institute of Oncology, in collaboration with the Academy of Palliative Medicine.
The two-day event promises to be a unique platform which will provide a comprehensive overview of evidence-based palliative care, highlighting its role in enhancing both symptom management and patient survival. The CME will also discuss cutting-edge topics in supportive oncology care by leading experts form different disciplines to demonstrate how evidence-based practices can be effectively integrated across differing oncological specialities. Register now to participate in the Amrita Annual Review – Palliative Medicine Practice updates: A hybrid CME program on 16th November 2024
The Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, Kerala, is pleased to announce a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program, “Amrita Annual Review: Palliative Medicine Practice Updates.” This hybrid-mode program will take place on Saturday, 16th November 2024, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi. Online participation is also available, and interested individuals can register to receive a virtual link to join the program remotely. The program is designed to provide updates on recent developments in palliative medicine and will be of interest to medical professionals seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills in this field.
According to the organizers, “As we enter the third year of our postgraduate training in Palliative Medicine, it is an opportune time to conduct our first academic program focusing on recent updates that will influence the practice of palliative medicine in the country.” They invite the medical fraternity to join them in this academic feast, where knowledge will be exchanged and doctors will be empowered to practice evidence-based medicine in the field of palliative medicine. In Kerala, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences started the first MD program in Palliative Medicine, in 2022.

Submit abstracts before 14th November 2024: Exciting Bursary and Travel Scholarships announced
Registrations are invited for the 16th Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Conference (APHC) 2025, scheduled to be held at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia, between Wednesday, 23rd April, 2025, and Saturday, 26th April, 2025.
The in-person conference is themed ‘Embracing Diversity, Empowering Communities’, as it acknowledges the diverse needs of patients, families, and communities facing serious illnesses. The conference aims to foster collaboration, exchange knowledge, and explore innovative approaches to palliative care, and will include interactive sessions, workshops and presentations by renowned experts in the field.
Researchers are invited to submit their abstracts for oral or poster presentations and be a part of advancing and shaping the future of palliative care in the Asia Pacific region. The Asia Pacific Hospice and Palliative Care Network (APHN) has also announced exciting opportunities for participating delegates to receive financial support and join global experts to expand their knowledge. The Rosalie Shaw Travel Scholarship will be presented to 1 recipient who will be awarded up to USD 3,000; while the General Bursaries will be awarded to 10 recipients who will each receive up to USD 1,000. Participate in the Virtual Quality Matters Conference (QMC), organised by Palliative Care Quality Collaborative, from 20th to 22nd November 2024
The Palliative Care Quality Collaborative (PCQC) is pleased to announce its third annual virtual Quality Matters Conference (QMC), taking place from 2oth to 22nd November, 2024. This year’s conference aims to promote best practices and training for high-quality palliative care for patients with serious illnesses and their loved ones. The theme of QMC 2024 is “Identifying Various Perspectives of Quality.”
A new addition to this year’s conference is a two-hour Quality Improvement Fundamentals Workshop, which is included in the registration package. During this interactive session, participants will gain fundamental quality improvement (QI) skills to enhance their operational and care processes.
Conference participants will receive live virtual access to conference sessions on 21st and 22nd November 2024 and live virtual access to the pre-conference Quality Improvement Workshop on 20th November 2024. They also will receive virtual access to recordings of all educational sessions held during the conference.
