Submit abstracts to the ‘National Conference for Children’s Palliative Care Malaysia 2022’, before 31st July, 2022
Registrations and abstract submission are open for the first National Conference for Children’s Palliative Care Malaysia (NCCPCM). The physical conference will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia between Thursday, 6th October, and Saturday, 8th October, 2022 and is being organised by the Malaysian Association of Paediatric Palliative Care (MAPPAC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Malaysia.
The first NCCPCM aims to raise awareness about paediatric palliative care by providing a platform to share expertise, and create learning opportunities for those interested in providing palliative care for children among healthcare professionals who work with children. The conference organisers are also working towards providing a balanced view of inter professional collaborative practice in optimizing the quality of life for children with life-limiting illnesses.
The conference is therefore themed, ‘Supporting from the beginning’, to highlight the need and importance of initiating palliative care support for children and their families from the time of the diagnosis of a life-limiting disease.
The conference committee mentions that all abstracts would be published in a supplementary issue of the Malaysian Journal of Paediatrics and Child Health, which is the official journal of the Malaysian Paediatric Association.

Registrations are open for the IASP’s ‘The 2022 World Congress on Pain’, 19th – 23rd September, 2022
Register for the Premier Global Multidisciplinary Meeting on Pain, the International Association for the Study of Pain’s (IASP) ‘The 2022 World Congress on Pain’, which is expected to be the largest global gathering of pain professionals. The physical conference is scheduled to take place in Toronto, Canada, between Monday, 19th September, 2022, to Friday, 23rd September, 2022.
This event is said to bring together over 7,000 scientists, clinicians, and healthcare providers from over 100 countries across the globe and across pain disciplines.
The conference organisers share that the World Congress is devoted to scientific excellence, with compelling sessions and keynotes on the latest research. Registered participants will have the opportunity to engage in technical deep dives and refresher courses, and participate in interactive exhibitions and hands-on workshops.

Submit abstracts for the ‘EAPC’s 18th World Congress’, before 15th October, 2022
Abstract submissions are now open for the European Association for Palliative Care’s (EAPC) 18th World Congress, scheduled to be held between Wednesday, 15th June, 2023, to Friday, 17th June, 2023, in Rotterdam at the Netherlands.
The theme of the Congress ‘Equity and Diversity in Palliative Care’ aims to draw attention to the utmost need and goal of creating equity of fair access, opportunity, and advancement in palliative care for all people in need of this care. The congress aims to also develop strategies aimed at reducing those inequities, and identify which challenges and policies could help to improve equity in palliative care.
The Scientific Committee of the congress is currently in the process of compiling an interesting and exciting congress programme. Eight plenary speakers will present on a range of topics all of which are aligned to the congress’s theme. They go on to share that a series of diverse topics have also been selected for parallel sessions.
