The Global Partners in Care has launched the “Palliative Care Heroes” campaign to say ‘Thank You’ to the estimated 400,000 healthcare workers and 1.2 million volunteers delivering palliative care globally by recognizing and celebrating the magnanimous contributions of these palliative care workers, towards improving the quality of living (and dying); particularly their selfless and tireless work during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Global Partners in Care foundation aims to support access to compassionate care by establishing collaborative partnerships, supporting research and education, and raising awareness of the global need for access to essential hospice and palliative care services.
Global Partners in Care foundation invites everyone to participate and extend Thanks to a palliative care worker (whether colleague, friend, provider, family member, etc.) to acknowledge the superhuman work they do.
The foundation encourages you to share any of the below while using #GlobalPallCareHero and tag GPIC on any – or all – of the following:
- Photos and videos of these heroes
- Draw a picture
- Write a message – one sentence or one page!
- Share our social media posts
