The elections for the office bearers of IAPC are scheduled to be held virtually between 9 a.m. on Friday, 21st January, 2022, and 9 p.m. on Sunday, 23rd January, 2022.

Elections will be held for the following posts:

  • President, IAPC (2022 – 2025)
  • Secretary, IAPC (Secretary Elect from 2022 – 2023; Secretary from 2023 – 2026)
  • Central Council Members (2022 – 2024)
    • North Zone (2 members)
    • North – East Zone (2 members)
    • East Zone (2 members)
    • South Zone (2 members)
    • West Zone (1 vacancy for one year [2022 – 2023]*; 1 vacancy for two years [2022 – 2024])

The term for this post was extended by 1 year due to no elections being held last year. The vacancy will therefore be for the remaining one year.

Important dates for the IAPC’s upcoming elections

  • Election date: 9 a.m. on Friday, 21st January, 2022 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, 23rd January, 2022.

An expert panel consisting of Dr. Anil Paleri, Dr. Dinesh Goswami, Dr. Nagesh Simha and Dr. Sukdev Nayak along with IAPC’S Central Council (CC), evaluated the virtual voting platform via a trial run on Tuesday, 23rd November, 2021. The system was found to be foolproof and satisfied the requirements of the election. The date for the virtual election (Friday, 21st January 2022) was approved by the General Body during the Annual General Body Meeting held on Friday, 12th November 2021.

An election committee comprising of Dr. Dinesh Goswami, Dr. Gayatri Palat and Dr. Sukdev Nayak have scrutinized the received nominations for validity and forwarded the valid nomination forms to the CC for further action.

Members who registered participation for the upcoming virtual elections will receive an email closer to the date of elections with a link to vote. These registered members will then need to click on the link provided and follow the necessary steps to cast one’s vote.

Registration for participation in the elections closed at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, 11th January, 2022. Prior registration was mandatory as the login credentials will be sent to the pre-registered email address. This is to ensure the safe proceedings of the IAPC’S virtual elections.
