Our beloved Director Dr Shrikant Sir inaugurated the function of World Palliative Care Day at Kavaratti. He also honoured Hameed for his contribution to the funeral service and Noorjahan for her service to his totally disabled son.
This occasion also witnessed distribution of physical aids to palliative care patients. Dr Salih Komalam, Dr Naushida and Dr Nishad Khan led the sessions on quality of life, communication etc. The program was attended by community members who are compassionate enough to support the palliative care patients as well as other patients.
All ASHA workers also participated. Mr Ahammed Khafi & Mr Mohammed Kasim, Nursing Supervisors and also National Florence Nightingale Awardees particularly in the field of Palliative Care also enlightened the participants.
Mr Moulana who is the pioneer of palliative care in Lakshadweep expressed his gratitude for implementing National Program in Lakshadweep.
