A petite and timid girl, Ms V Menaga, joined the DEAN Foundation immediately after completing her Auxiliary Nurse Aide training in 2005, when she was only 19 years old.

Within 5 years of joining the team, she was forced to take on the role of the Nurse-in-charge. Today, Ms Menaga currently handles patient care of over 4 centres.

Her skills to handle medical procedures have developed to such an extent, that several patients who come in now for medical interventions request for her particularly. The Doctors too depend on her for scheduling and prioritizing patient visits.

Quick to gauge a home environment and transform it to one of positivity, many have marvelled and appreciated Ms Menaga’s bedside manners.

Ms Menaga is the patient’s voice and the family’s support, during their difficult times, as she is skilled at navigating difficult conversations, especially when it involves communicating the prognosis and the goals of care. Ms Menaga is also able to soothe the fears of the agitated and empower them to face the progression of the disease with equanimity, all while maintaining the dignity of her patients’.

The DEAN Foundation is proud to share that Ms V Menaga is their Superhero Nurse.
