Dear Friends,
I am glad to share with you a few humble yet, key initiatives, sown by the Indian Association of Palliative Care in collaboration with other organizations across India. Such collaborations are a beginning to our arduous journey towards achieving our dream, ‘Palliative Care accessible to all’. A spectrum of events varying from organizing training programs under the National Program for Palliative Care (NPPC) and organizing a webinar on Storytelling, were results of such collaborations held in the past few weeks…
Education and Training
IAPC in association with NHM (J&K and Ladakh), trains district Doctors and Nurses from Jammu and Ladakh
AIIMS Raipur in association with IAPC and NHM (Chattisgarh) successfully conducts a Foundation training program for in service doctors and nurses
Karunashraya in association with IAPC, trains 30 community volunteers
ELNEC successfully conducts core training at Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati
Kasturba Hospital, Manipal, conducts an ‘Open House Discussion with the Experts’ on 4th March, 2022
Indian Nursing Curriculum now includes a 20 hour mandatory module in Palliative Care
RMD Pain and Palliative Care Trust, Chennai, trains 50 rural women in Nursing and Palliative Care
