4th National Conference of Students Association of PC

Fourth National Conference of the Students Association of Palliative Care was held from 8th Nov’19 to 10th November, 2019 at Kerela Nataka Sangeetha Academy, Regional Theatre, Chembukavu, Thrissur,Kerela. The sessions were chaired by Dr. Geeta Joshi, Mr. K. M. Noordeen and Mr. Radhakrishnan Menon. The chief guest was the Hon’ble speaker of Kerela Assembly.

Palliative Care service launched in all district hospitals in Odhisha

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on 7th November, 2019, Thursday launched Palliative Care Programme in all the district headquarter hospitals of the state. The District Palliative Care Programme (DPCP) facility will be available in all district headquarter hospitals and Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela Government Hospital.

Palliative Care Programe for B.Sc. Nursing Students

The DNipCare held a Palliative Care Sensitization Program for the students of College of Nursing, Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, 18th November 2019. Dr (Prof) Madhu Dayal, Dr. Dimple Pande (Palliative Care Unit, Safdarjang Hospital) Ms. Shashi Sarma (MscN, Oncology), AIIMS and Sister Tabita (Shanti Avedna Sadan) spoke on the subject. Shri. K V Hamza, Gen. Secretary and Shri Suresh Thaliyaril, Secretary, DNipCare, CC member, IAPC, jointly coordinated the event. Ms. Sandhya Saji Varghese, Ms.Laxmi Devi, Faculties of College of Nursing actively participated in the function and Ms. Kirti Joshi Faculty gave vote of thanks.

Telengana state awarded for Palliative Health Home care Program

Telengana received award for Palliative Health Home Care Program by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare Govt. of India. This achievement is a recognition given to palliative care as other mainstream health program.
