Ms Sona joined the Lakshmi Pain and Palliative Care Trust in 2004 with minimal training in nursing. Yet, Ms Sona was committed, focused and displayed a keen desire to learn.

Soon after she joined Lakshmi Pain and Palliative Care Trust, she showed competence and compassion towards patients by accurately assessing their needs, engaging in appropriate communications and correctly handling medications. She was also always willing to accompany the doctors to visit patients’ homes.

With time, she became skilled in handling all the nursing issues and providing home care independently.

Over the years, Ms Sona’s expertise in palliative care has allowed the organization to confidently allow her to handle patients individually. She has been a faculty in several of the organization’s teaching programmes.

She continues to work passionately even after becoming a mother. Ms Sona, is truly Lakshmi Pain and Palliative Care Trust’s Super Hero!
