I am delighted to share interesting updates from the upcoming 32nd International Conference of Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPCON 2025). The conference team has announced an interesting line-up of pre-conference workshops. Exciting ‘Combo offers’ for those interested to become members of the IAPC, along with registering for the conference has also been announced. I encourage all IAPC members to grab the last chance to avail the early bird offer by registering before Sunday, 30th June, 2024. The IAPC’s informative Infographic series continues to educate the community about basic and complex concepts in Palliative Care. I am pleased to present the June Infographic, ‘Self-care for Informal Caregivers’. Please feel free to share this infographic within your networks.

Dr Raghavendra Ramanjulu (Editor, IJPC) and his talented team have published the April – June Edition of the Journal. The current issue features a collection of oral and poster abstracts presented at IAPCON 2024, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, along with a few original articles and review articles. Congratulations to the Editorial team of IJPC for bringing out another brilliant edition of the Journal.

It is satisfying to note that the ‘APM’s Online Lecture Series 1’ concluded in May, 2024, after presenting a total of 38 lectures every Monday between July 2023 and May 2024. Till date, a total of 187 lectures have been delivered cumulatively from both the IAPC Academy’s online lecture Series 1 – 6, and the APM’s online Lecture Series 1. The ‘Academy of Palliative Medicine’s online Lecture Series 2’ will begin from Monday, 3rd June, 2024, and will present a total of 15 lectures focussing on ‘Psychosocial Issues in Palliative Medicine’. I thank Dr Naveen Salins (Secretary General, APM) for his instrumental support towards this initiative. Please join us for the upcoming sessions. The IAPC and the Academy of Palliative Medicine (APM) along with several other institutions from across the country are now inviting applications for several important courses. The IAPC is currently inviting applications for the Certificate Course in the Physiotherapy – Palliative Care Interface and the Certificate Course in Essentials of Palliative Care (CCEPC). The APM is inviting applications for the maiden batch of ‘APM Basic Certificate Course in Palliative Medicine – A Blended Learning Program’. The ‘Education and Training’ section features information about these programs, details of training programs from other institutions  inviting applications, and also reports from the various educational / sensitisation programs conducted across the country over the past month. Congratulations to all who have been tirelessly organising these initiatives in Palliative Care and helping to develop palliative care / medicine across the country.

I am once again filled with pride to celebrate the awards and achievements of our colleagues and the milestones conquered by palliative care institutions.
