Department of Palliative Medicine conducted several activities to increase awareness on the need to strengthen palliative care within comprehensive health care. An awareness session for nursing students at Chittoor Nursing College and a quiz for nursing students at CMC Vellore were conducted. Several staff actively participated in slogan and poster competitions, displaying their rich understanding of palliative care. On October 12th a Walkathon was organised, followed by “PALLIWISE” quiz for all staff and students. The Medical Superintendent and Associate Nursing Superintendent, offered felicitations, distributed prizes and extended their support to the expansion of palliative care.
