IAPC’s Election Notification 2026

ONE CANDIDATE CAN APPLY FOR ONE POST ONLY

Notice is hereby given to all members of the Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPC), that elections (if any) will be held on Saturday, 14^thFebruary, 2026, during IAPCON 2026, for the below mentioned posts:

1. Executive Committee (IAPC) Regional Representatives:
   1. Western Region (2026-2028) = 01 post
   2. Northern Region (2026-2028) = 02 Posts
   3. Southern Region (2026-2028) = 02 Posts
   4. Eastern Region (2026-2028) = 02 posts
   5. North-Eastern Region (2026-2028) = 02 Posts
2. Hon Secretary IAPC (2026 to 2029) = 01 post.
3. Chairperson Academy of Palliative Medicine (APM) (2026-2029) = 01 Post.
4. Secretary General APM (2026-2029) = 01 post

The eligibility criteria for those interested to contest in the elections, are as below:

The applicant must have an uninterrupted IAPC membership for a minimum of 5 years on the date of being nominated.

The applicant must have an uninterrupted IAPC membership for a minimum of 3 years on the date of being nominated. Members applying to the post of anEC Member from a particular Region and must belong to that particular Zone as defined by the IAPC’s Bylaws. Northern Region (Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh) Western Region (Daman and Diu and Nagar and Haveli, Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan) North-Eastern Region (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura) EasternRegion (Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Sikkim and West Bengal) Southern Region (Andaman and Nicobar, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and  Telangana)

The applicant must be a doctor in modern medicine with MD/DNB Must have an uninterrupted membership of IAPC for a minimum of 7 years on the date of being nominated. Important dates for the upcoming IAPC Elections

• Last date to submit online nomination: Wednesday, 31^st December, 2025
• Last date to withdraw nomination: One day before Election date by 5:30 pm
• Election date (if needed): Saturday, 14^th February, 2026

The scanned copy of the signed and completed nomination form is to be emailed to the Secretary, IAPC, at iapcelections@gmail.com before 5 p.m. on Wednesday, 31^stDecember, 2025. 

Nominations; either incomplete or submitted to any other email address will not be accepted.  

Multiple nominations for different posts from the same applicant will be not be accepted.
