The poster competition and public awareness program were organized by the palliative care team with the Department of Anaesthesiology and critical care, Dr S N Medical College, Jodhpur (Rajasthan). The poster competition theme was Compassionate Communities: Together for Palliative Care.
This event was addressed by Medical Superintendent Sir Dr Vikas Rajpurohit and congratulated all the participants. The posters were evaluated by senior professors Dr. Sarita Janweja, Dr. Shobha Ujwal and Dr Rakesh Karnawat, and appreciated all the participants.
The Public awareness program was conducted by Dr. Geeta Singariya, Dr. Chanda Khatri, Mamta Parihar and Chetan Kumar. They emphasized the need for compassionate communities and the delivery of palliative care for patients suffering from chronic incurable diseases.
During this session, the patients and their caregivers were asked about their problems, feelings, mental stage and difficulties faced by them after diagnosis and treatment.
