The Govind Ballabh Pant Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (G. B. Pant Hospital), Delhi observed World Health Day on 7th April 2018 by conducting a Continuing Nursing Education Programme on PALLIATIVE CARE in the Hospital Auditorium at 11 AM in Association with DNipCare and IAPC.
The programme included:
1. Introduction and Need of Palliative Care: Dr. Rathi Balachandran, Assistant Director General (Nursing), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India.
2. Palliative Care Nursing: Prof (Dr.) A. T. Kora, Nursing Superintendent, St.Stephens’ Hospital, Delhi.
3. Role of Community in Palliative Care: Mr. K. V. Hamza, General Secretary, DNipCare.
Mr. Suresh T. P., Secretary, DNipCare and C C Member IAPC coordinated the event presided over by Mrs. Usha Rani Ahuja, CNE Cell Coordinator and Ms. Uma Pal, Nursing Superintendent of G. B. Pant Hospital.
