Applications invited for the IAHPC’s Grant to participate in IAPCON 2025
The International Association of Hospice and Palliative Care (IAHPC), in collaboration with the Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPC), invite applications to receive grants to encourage participation in the 32nd International Conference of the Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPCON 2025).
IAPCON 2025 is scheduled to be held at the auditorium of AIIMS Jammu, between Friday, 31st January, 2025, and Sunday, 2nd February, 2025. The conference is themed ‘Evidence based palliative care’. Please visit the conference website for further information about IAPCON 2025.
The grant will cover the registration fee and travel expenses of 16 individuals working in palliative care. Each grant winner will be eligible to receive a maximum of USD 300 (approx. INR 25,000/).
Those satisfying the below criteria are invited to apply for the grant.
- The candidate must be an Indian National, who is currently residing and working in India.
- The candidate must be actively working in Palliative Care.
- The candidate must be 40 years or younger.
- The candidate must be a qualified Doctor (MBBS, BDS), Nurse, Physiotherapist, Counsellor, Social Worker, Pharmacist, or Volunteer.
- The candidate must be an IAPC member
- IAHPC membership preferred, though not mandatory
Important dates:
- Last date to submit applications: 11 p.m. on Tuesday, 31st December, 2024
- Grant winners will be notified by email on: Friday, 10th January, 2025
- Last date for Grant winners to submit required documents (listed below) post participation at IAPCON 2025: Sunday, 16th February, 2024.
Details about Grant distribution:
- The grant amount will be presented to the grant winners post IAPCON 2025, upon submission of the following documents:
- Participation Certificate of IAPCON 2025
- Copy of Travel tickets to Jammu and return to candidates home city
- Copy of the receipt of the registration fee paid towards registering for IAPCON 2025
- A short report of 500 words on the learnings and the positive impact in your work due to the participation in the conference
- Please note that grant amount will be transferred to the grant winners only after 14 working days after Sunday, 16th February, 2024.
Documents to be submitted along with the online e-application form:
- A copy of the qualifying educational Degree Certificate. Volunteers to share a copy of their educational certificate.
- Proof of Nationality (Any ID issued by the Government of India).
- Proof of date of birth (Any ID card issued by the Government of India with date of birth displayed).
- A 1-page Letter of reference (in PDF format) from the grant applicant’s Head of the Department / Institution in the institution’s letter head with signature and office stamp of the authority issuing the reference letter to confirm that the applicant is currently employed at the institution, and is actively working in the field of Palliative Care.
(NOTE For volunteers: A similar letter of reference is required to confirm that the applicant is currently an active volunteer at the Institution.) - A short 1-page CV of the applicant (in PDF format).
