The DNipCare Team met Dr. Subhash Ramrao Bhamre, Honourable Union Minister of State for Defence, Government of India on 08th January 2019 with the following request:

a) Ministry of Defence to set up Palliative Care Units as in the case of Base Hospital, Delhi, using the potential of Medical Corps of the Forces under every Military Unit for not only patients under Armed Forces, but also for Chronic Civilian patients in adjacent areas, which will go a long way in achieving more confidence building among the Civilians in the interest of the Nation;

b) Ministry of Human Resource Development to include the Palliative Care discipline in the Curriculum of Senior Secondary Schools and other educational institutions;

c) Ministry of Health & Family Welfare to widen the scope by allocating more hours in the Medical and Nursing Curriculum for the Palliative Care discipline;

d) Ministry of Skill Development to include Palliative Care Nursing as a supportive skill for aspiring candidates to not only earn their livelihood, but also serve the suffering chronic patients;

e) encourage the Companies through Ministry of Corporate Affairs for allocating funds under Corporate Social Responsibility for Voluntary Palliative Care activities run by Non-Governmental Organizations.
