Pre-Conference Workshop Commences Today
Conference Scheduled on Sunday, 23rd November 2025

For the first time in West Bengal, a dedicated Palliative Care Conference is being organized by the West Bengal Chapter of the Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPC). The event aims to bring together healthcare professionals and caregivers committed to improving the quality of life of patients with serious illnesses.

The conference will be held on Sunday, 23rd November, 2025, with pre-conference workshops on Saturday, 22nd November, 2025.

Special edition of ‘Singing for the Stars’ on Thursday, 20th November, 2025

The IAPC and the Shankar Mahadevan Academy Nirvana, invite you to participate in a special edition of ‘Singing for the Stars’, a free, online, musical concert dedicated to our palliative care patients and their caregivers, and our colleagues.

This edition of ‘Singing for the Stars’ is scheduled for, Thursday, 20th November, 2025, at 2:55 p.m.

The musical evening of harmonies will be presented by Ms. Anushree Datar, Vocalist, Performing Artist & Music Educator (SMA Nirvana).

We request you to

  1. Please make arrangements at your respective institutes (if you are a part of an institute) to broadcast the evening of harmonies for your patients and their caregivers

Notice is hereby given to all members of the Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPC), that elections (if any) will be held on Saturday, 14th February, 2026, during IAPCON 2026, for the below mentioned posts:

IAPC invites Proposal for IAPCON 2028

The Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPC) is inviting proposals to conduct the 35th Annual International Conference of the Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPCON 2028).

Those interested to organise the conference are requested to submit their expression of interest by emailing the proposal in the requested and prescribed format to the Secretary, IAPC, at iapcagbm@gmail.com before 5 p.m. on Saturday, 17th January, 2026.

The conference venue for IAPCON 2028, will be decided in the IAPC’s Annual General Body Meeting held in Hyderabad in February, 2026, on the basis of the proposals received by the Secretary.


IAPCON 2026: Pre-Conference Workshop Themes and Information Flyers Released

The Scientific Committee of the 33rd International Conference of the Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPCON 2026) has released the Pre-Conference Workshop Flyers, highlighting a diverse range of workshop themes. These workshops will be conducted on Thursday, 12th February 2026, across multiple venues in Hyderabad.

The 33rd International Conference of the Indian Association of Palliative Care will be held from 13th to 15th February 2026 at the National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Ni-MSME), Hyderabad.

IAPCON 2026: IAPC Announces Attractive Prizes worth Rs 4 Lakhs

For the Winners of Presentations

The Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPC) is pleased to announce a total of Rs 4,00,000 in awards for the winners of paper and poster presentations at the 33rd Annual International Conference of the IAPC (IAPCON 2026).

These prestigious awards will be under four distinct categories:

  1. Doctors
  2. Doctors (Students) – MD/DNB students from any speciality and students pursuing full-time, offline fellowships in any speciality
  3. Nurses
  4. Others – including Pharmacists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Counsellors, Social Workers, Volunteers, and allied professionals

Each category will have three awards each for both paper and poster presentations:

  • First Prize: Rs 25,000 and a certificate
  • Second Prize: Rs 15,000 and a certificate
  • Third Prize: Rs 10,000 and a certificate

A total of 24 prizes (12 for paper presentations and 12 for poster presentations), across the four categories, will be awarded at IAPCON 2026.

The Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPC) in its constant endeavour to promote palliative care education and awareness across the country launched the ‘IAPC’s Infographic of the month’ initiative in June 2023. We are pleased to share with you the November 2025 infographic developed as a part of Care Continuum series. The focus of November Infographic is “Preparing Palliative Care Teams for a Humanitarian Crisis”.

IAPCON 2026: Register now to avail the early bird registration rates!

The 33rd Annual International Conference of the Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPCON 2026) will be held at the National Institute for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (NI-MSME), Hyderabad, Telangana, between Friday, 13th February, 2026, and Sunday, 15th February 2026. IAPCON 2025 concludes with success and grandeur on 2nd February, 2025

The 32nd Annual International Conference of the Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPCON 2025) concluded successfully at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Jammu, on Sunday, 2nd February, 2025. The energy filled conference themed ‘Evidence based Palliative Care’ was held between Friday, 31st January, 2025, and Sunday, 2nd February, 2025.

Over 820 delegates from India and beyond participated at IAPCON 2025 to share ideas, exchange best practices, network and encourage peer learning.

344 delegates participated in 14 very innovative and interesting pre-conference workshops held on Thursday, 30th January, 2025.

A total of 114 posters were presented, 87 oral presentations were held, and 45 free posters were listed at the conference.
